We welcome motivated students who are interested in agile robotic systems.

We are not always actively recruiting, but undergraduate students and prospective M.S./Ph.D. students are encouraged to reach out if they are interested in our research. Students who are considering applying to the graduate program are strongly encouraged to first participate as interns, if possible.

What We Look For

We are looking for students who are self-motivated and willing to work on challenging robotics problems that connect mathematical modeling, algorithm design, simulation, and real-world experiments. Prior experience in robotics or hands-on hardware projects is helpful, but strong fundamentals, persistence, and willingness to learn are even more important.

Useful Background

Useful background includes coursework or experience in robotics, linear algebra, programming, dynamics, control, machine learning, and optimization. In particular, experience with programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, and C++ will be helpful.
